Medical professionals are major elements of a Cerebral Palsy patient’s support system. After diagnosis, caregivers play a crucial role in educating patients and their families, answering questions, providing treatment options, giving support, planning for the future, and maximizing potential.
Our Foundation wants to empower caregivers to make a positive difference in the journeys of their patients. Members of our Board of Directors are experienced doctors, researchers, and other medical professionals who have had similar experiences to those you’re having with your CP case.
The substantial knowledge of our Board members is a pillar of our Foundation. Our advanced experience enables us to:
- Provide the most comprehensive online information for families about Cerebral Palsy
- Accept donations and intelligently invest them in worthwhile projects
- Review grant applications and determine which projects could help us better understand, mitigate, and prevent Cerebral Palsy
To help us make the most rigorous assessment of the proposals our Foundation receives, Our Foundation also enlists the input of a Medical Board of Review. Only projects that meet the standards of our medical advisers and Board of Directors are awarded grant funding. Many projects are eligible to receive a grant, but the proposal must demonstrate the positive impact it will have on Cerebral Palsy research and treatment.
